The lighting kit most likely works well for video. We had a little trouble getting enough light out of it for DSLR portrait photos. We are amateurs. So we worked with different setups and got acceptable lighting with shadows minized. flashing the speedlight through the umbrella gave good results. Speedlight+Cowboy = acceptable results.
The kit includes Fancier WT803 light stands. If you are doing comparison shopping and wonder what is the differnce between Cowboy and Fancier it is a goose egg. Dodge Dart vs Plymouth Valiant… same car different label. Construction is good not rugged. I expected this level of qualithy given the price.
The Backdrop supports are adjustable to much wider backdrops. 6×9 is ok for tight shots. But an upgrade to wider and longer would be nice and possible with this kit.
